Our school library is accessible to all students and staff, with welcoming spaces led by a certified school librarian who provides relevant instruction, leadership, and resources to develop students' skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Library Support

Our library values access, inquiry, literacy, collaboration, privacy, and equity. We support staff and students by connecting them with high-quality resources and instruction to enhance their learning.

We provide the following services to support learning: 

  • Instruction - Students learn how to responsibly use and evaluate resources, information, and technology tools. 
  • Access to resources - Students check out library books or access digital resources that meet their academic needs or help them explore their interests. 
  • Reader’s Advisory - Get suggestions for which book to read next, or which resources to use for a project.

Mission Statement

The Carroll Magnet Middle School library is house in our Learning Commons. The space  is a student-centered learning hub where every learner is empowered to explore, create, and lead. We inspire a love of reading, curiosity, and innovation by providing equitable access to diverse books, digital resources, and emerging technologies. We celebrate student voice, nurture individual strengths, and encourage lifelong learning in a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
